Irrigation Pressure & Flow
Irrigation Pressure & Flow is an offline utility for quick irrigation pipe-loss, end-pressure, lateral, and sizing checks.
What can I do with it?
Use the app for:
- single pipe-run friction loss and end-pressure checks
- lateral loss estimates for evenly spaced outlets
- minimum preset size recommendations from a pressure budget
- saving repeat field scenarios locally on the device
Does it select pumps or sprinkler heads?
No. Irrigation Pressure & Flow does not include a pump selector, nozzle database, or controller integration. You enter the values yourself from the hardware data and project assumptions you trust.
Is it meant to replace engineered design?
No. The app is a manual field-reference aid only. Always confirm final design decisions against project standards, manufacturer documentation, and any licensed review required for the job.
Why is my end pressure low?
Low end pressure can come from a combination of friction loss, uphill elevation, small diameter, or aggressive flow. The app makes those assumptions visible so you can test different scenarios quickly.
Why does lateral mode ask for outlet count?
Lateral mode assumes evenly spaced outlets with equal flow. It uses a Christiansen reduction factor so the line is not treated like full flow across the entire run.
Can the calculations be exact?
Not always. Real systems depend on fittings, valves, filters, real inside diameter, nozzle performance, and site conditions. Use the app for fast screening and field comparison, not as a guarantee.
