PrintCost 3D is a local-first 3D print quoting utility for FDM and resin jobs.
What does the app calculate?
The app estimates:
- material cost from slicer usage and pack price
- electricity cost
- machine hourly cost
- labor and flat extra cost
- failure buffer
- suggested quote after markup
Does it import slicer files?
No. Version 1.0 uses manual input so the workflow stays offline and review-safe.
Does it guarantee profit?
No. PrintCost 3D is a quoting aid. Always confirm support waste, failed prints, packaging, taxes, shipping, and your own business rules before billing a customer.
What if my slicer shows filament length instead of grams?
Choose the FDM length mode in the Estimate tab. PrintCost 3D converts filament length into billable grams using diameter and density.
Are my saved quotes synced anywhere?
No. Saved estimates remain local to the current device in version 1.0.
